Northern Burlington 10 Kingsway 3 | Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic Quarterfinal

The 26th-seeded Greyhounds picked up its biggest win to date as they knocked off the number two seed and eighth-ranked Dragons to advance in the Diamond Classic. Cole Marchetti turned in a brilliant effort on the mound, allowing one earned run over 5 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts. Marchetti added three hits at the dish, while Luca Mannino finished with 3 RBIs for Northern Burlington (11-6). Binghamton commit Tommy Popoff drove in a pair of runs for Kingsway (14-4). Northern Burlington will face sixth-seeded Delsea in the semifinals on Saturday.

Christian Brothers Academy 3 Middletown South 1 | Monmouth County Tournament Semifinal

Chris Levonas worked out of a early first inning trouble and went six full innings allowing just one run, walking none and striking out 12 and Jaxon Sevilla’s two RBI game led the Colts to the Monmouth County Tournament final and a matchup with rival Red Bank Catholic next week.  Levonas gave up three hits in the first and a run but locked in after that in front of 30 MLB scouts.
