Caldwell 9 Glen Ridge 5 | Essex County Tournament Semifinal

A full-throttle first half performance gave the Chiefs the boost they needed to score a revenge win over the Ridgers. Third-seeded Caldwell (7-5) jumped out to a 6-1 at the half and wouldn’t look back as they punch their ticket to the Essex County Tournament final. Harry Boland, Luke Kurzum, Jack Goldbach and Matt Costigan each scored two goals apiece in the win. Second-seeded Glen Ridge (6-4) found some juice with three goals in the third quarter, but the deficit was too much to overcome. Caldwell will face top-seeded and undefeated Seton Hall Prep (13-0) in the Essex County Tournament final at Livingston High School on Saturday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m.
