Mountain Lakes 11 Bergen Catholic 7 | Boys

Giacomo Bevacqua’s four goal performance stole the show Wednesday afternoon as the Lakers won their 2023 home opener. Bevacqua scored three of his four goals in the fourth quarter alone to ice the game for Mountain Lakes (3-0). Joey Marinaccio also scored four goals in the loss for Bergen Catholic (3-1).

Summit 9 Scotch Plains-Fanwood 3 | Boys

No. 7 Summit improves to 4-0 on the season following a 9-3 victory over Scotch Plains-Fanwood. The Hilltoppers got ahead early to lead 5-1 at halftime and maintained the pace of the game throughout the afternoon. Sean McCeney, Lucas Stocks and Will Johnson each had a pair of scores.

CBA 13 Middletown South 5 | Boys

Ian McRae and Nick Blalock each had seven-point games and the Colts closed the game with six straight goals to improve to 3-1 on the season.  McRae had three goals and four assists while Blalock had two goals and five helpers.  Brendan Donnelly added a hat trick including a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.
