Newark East Side 61 New Providence 41 – Tournament of Champions Quarterfinal

The Red Raiders trailed 30-29 at the three minute mark of the third quarter and exploded for 31 points in the final eleven minutes to earn a matchup with #2 seed Bergen Catholic in the semifinals. Anas Amos and Mikah Johnson led the way with 16 points each. JSZ has the highlights and post-game reaction from RJW Barnabas Arena in Toms River:

Moorestown 60 Haddonfield 59 Tournament of Champions quarterfinal

Jagger Zrada went off from distance, going seven for eight from three-point range to pump in a team-high 23 points for the Quakers. Zrada even overcame an ankle injury in the third quarter to help #5 Moorestown advance past #4 Haddonfield. Nick Cartwright-Atkins also had a strong game with 13 points and nine rebounds in the win. Dan Fleming poured in a game-high 25 points in his final game for the Haddons. JSZ’s Mike Frankel has the highlights and reaction from Toms River, as the Quakers advance to face Ranney in the Tournament of Champions semifinals on Friday night.
