Westfield 4 Ridge 1

Westfield begins the season 2-0 following a 4-1 victory over reigning Public A State Champions Ridge. The Blue Devils led 2-0 after the first period thanks to goals from John McDonald and Danny Duffy. Aidan Wilson and Alex Ebel each added a score in the second as Westfield has outscored opponents 13-3 in their first two games.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 6 Red Bank Regional 3

Anthony Lorenzetti had two goals and two assists and Anthony Tittonegro had a three-point night to give the Raiders a two-game sweep of the Bucs. Ryan Sacchetti added two goals and Dylan Matthew closed out the scoring. SPF opened the season with a 5-3 win at home and turned right around for a big road win. Tristan Molinari had two goals for RBR in the loss.
