Delbarton 2 Bergen Catholic 0

Jason Cai stopped all 23 shots that came his way in an early season Gordon Conference tilt that featured two top-five ranked teams in the state. Duncan Stewart and Hayden Bright scored in the second and third periods, respectively, as Delbarton (2-0) logged their first in-state win of the season. Bergen Catholic (0-2) saw their goaltender Ryan Henry make 27 saves in the loss.

Morris Knolls 5 Morristown-Beard 0

No. 14 Morris Knolls defeated No. 9 Morristown-Beard 5-0 to pick up their first win of the season. Jake McCloud and Michael Simone got the game started with two early goals in the first period. Ryan Manz and Jack Martinez added two more scores in the second. Michael Simone finished with two goals and an assist, goalie Aidan Marvin had 22 saves in his first shut out of the season.

Northern Highlands 2 Middletown North 0

James Massimi’s power-play goal in the second period was the game-winner and Constantine Manos added an empty net goal to give the Highlanders a third straight win to open the season.  Daniel Moor was outstanding in net with a 26-save shutout.

St. Augustine 6 St. Joseph (Mont.) 0

The Hermits continued their red-hot start to the season by blanking the Green Knights to remain undefeated in Gordon Conference play. Kai Ackerman got things started with a pair of first period goals to set the tone for the Hermits. Cameron DeLeo, Jackson Schwarzwalder, Alex Smith, and James Reagan each scored goals in the win for St. Augustine (3-0). Joseph Monte finished with 20 saves in the loss for St. Joseph (1-1).
