Princeton 2 Monroe 1 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 4 Semifinal

(1) Princeton advanced to the Central, Group 4 Championship with a 2-1 comeback win over (4) Monroe. The Little Tigers scored on a goal from senior Pasquale Carusone in the 22nd minute to lead 1-0 at halftime. Monroe would tie the game 11 minutes into the second half on a goal from Altin Nikezi, seven minutes later Harvey Smith scored on a free kick for the go-ahead goal. Princeton advances to its first Sectional Final since 2017.

Clearview 3 Cherry Hill West 1 | Boys | South Jersey Group 3 Semifinal

The Pioneers made a serious charge in the second half to knock off the two-time defending sectional champion Lions. Seamus Watson powered the Pioneers attack with a hat trick as top-seeded Clearview (16-2-4) punched a ticket to its first sectional final since 2013. Ryan McHugh scored a late goal in the loss for fourth-seeded Cherry Hill West (11-6-3). Clearview will host second-seeded Shawnee for the SJ Group 3 title on Saturday.

Holmdel 2 AL Johnson 1 (OT) | Boys | Central Jersey Group 2 Semifinal

David Weiner converted a penalty kick in the opening minute of overtime to give the Hornets a spot in the section final for a third consecutive year. AL Johnson’s Martin Venezio scored with 5:20 remaining in regulation to level the match at one with Holmdel scoring early in the match on Frankie Brusco’s 16th goal of the season.
