Gill St. Bernard’s 2 Pingry 1 | Boys

The rematch of last year’s Somerset County Tournament final did not disappoint. Micaah Garnette, the star striker who leads Gill St. Bernard’s, led the way for the Knights with a pair of goals, including the eventual game winning penalty kick. Gill St. Bernard’s improves to 3-0 on the young season.

Holmdel 2 Monmouth Regional 1 | Boys

Felix Doebbel broke a 1-1 tie with a penalty kick in the 62nd minute to preserve Holmdel’s remarkable unbeaten streak. The Hornets have now reached 56 games without a loss dating back to 2017. Noah Mendez got the Hornets on the board with a beautiful header on a feed from Tomas Zolofra. Monmouth Regional’s Ethan Wallace got the equalizer in the 61st minute. Robbinsville 1 Notre Dame | Girls

On what was supposed to be a day of celebration, a tight defensive Girls Soccer matchup between Colonial Valley Conference foes Robbinsville and Notre Dame was settled by a penalty kick from Aleca Fotiou in the second half to help the Ravens start 1-0-1. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
