St. Benedict’s Prep 3 St. Peter’s Prep 2 (OT) | Boys

Felix Agyemang’s goal in the 95th minute gave St. Benedict’s Prep a rare golden goal as the #1 team in the country survived an upset bid by the St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City.  The Gray Bees gave up just two goals in an undefeated 2022 season but surrendered a pair of goals to the upset minded Marauders.  Matt Sobreiro gave St. Peter’s Prep a 1-0 lead in the 7th minute on a free kick before Cristian Oliveira leveled the match 10 minutes later.  Gatorade National Player of the Year Ransford Gyan gave the Gray Bees the lead in the 51st minute but the Marauders force overtime thanks to a John Carey penalty kick in the 69th minute.  St. Peter’s Prep goalkeeper Simon Yanez had 12 saves before Agyemang’s heroics in double overtime.  St. Benedict’s Prep is now unbeaten in its last 96 matches.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 0 Westfield 0 | Boys

The Raiders and Blue Devils renewed their Union County rivalry in Harrison on Wednesday evening, but neither squad walked out of Red Bull Arena with a win. Luke Tennant made four saves for Westfield (6-3-2) while Jeffrey Dietrich stopped 11 shots for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-3-3) in the draw.

Wildwood 1 Pitman 1 | Boys

The Warriors and the Panthers battled for 100 minutes to a hard-fought draw in a Tri-County Conference Classic Division showdown. Kelan Miller scored his sixth goal of the season for Wildwood (6-3-1). Owen Boulton provided the equalizer off of a corner kick from Charlie Duffield for Pitman (7-3-1).
