Steinert 1 Allentown 0 – Girls

On one of the hottest Fall days in recent memory, Steinert picked up its sixth straight win with a close 1-0 victory over Allentown. After a scoreless first half, Margarita Ivanova would find the net on a penalty kick for the Spartans in the 43’. Goalie Kat Calle added eight saves on top of completing a shut out.  Watch the highlights now:

Red Bank Catholic 8 Shore Regional 1 – Girls

Reagan Pauwels had a hat trick to lead a seven-goal second-half explosion on a rainy night in Red Bank. The Caseys are ranked #5 in the latest state polls and proved most worthy of that ranking. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from the Shore Conference:

St. Augustine 1 Egg Harbor Twp. 0 – Boys

It was a showdown of two of South Jersey’s best as the Eagles traveled to face the Hermits with the top-seed in the Cape-Atlantic League tournament on the line. Both teams played a tight, defensive style making each other work for everything on the offensive end. Senior midfielder Kevin Witkoski netted the only goal of the game in the 28th minute for the Hermits.
