On one of the hottest Fall days in recent memory, Steinert picked up its sixth straight win with a close 1-0 victory over Allentown. After a scoreless first half, Margarita Ivanova would find the net on a penalty kick for the Spartans in the 43’. Goalie Kat Calle added eight saves on top of completing a shut out. St. Augustine 1 Egg Harbor Twp. 0 – Boys
It was a showdown of two of South Jersey’s best as the Eagles traveled to face the Hermits with the top-seed in the Cape-Atlantic League tournament on the line. Both teams played a tight, defensive style making each other work for everything on the offensive end. Senior midfielder Kevin Witkoski netted the only goal of the game in the 28th minute for the Hermits.
