JSZ bounces around the state to once again bring you some tremendous soccer highlights!


Kingsway 2 Clearview 1 | Boys

The Dragons took an early 2-0 lead and then hung on to beat the Pioneers in this battle between Tri-County Conference rivals. Dean Martin and Antonio Amoroso scored goals in the win for Kingsway (4-2). Tyler Puckett scored the lone goal for View (3-3-2) in the loss.

Brick Memorial 4 Central Regional 3 | Girls

Twin sisters Mia and Lexi Caruso scored 72 seconds apart in the second half to help Brick Memorial overcome a natural hat trick by Hannah Lewis in a come-from-behind home win for the Mustangs.  Lexi Caruso scored a pair of goals including the game-winner.  Lewis, a Division I lacrosse commit to James Madison, scored in the final minute of the 1st half to draw the Golden Eagles at 2-2 and then scored in the 48th minute to give Central a 3-2 lead.  Mia Caruso scored with 16:09 left in the second half and Lexi followed with the game-winner :72 later.    JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights of a great Shore Conference tilt:

Pennington 6 Hun 0 | Girls

Pennington improved to 8-0 with a 6-0 victory over Hun (3-3) in a rematch of last year’s Prep A Final. The Red Hawks with a pair of goals from junior Morgan Kotch in the first half led 5-0 at the break. Kotch added another goal in the second for her third hat trick of the year, which puts the high-level class of 2023 recruit at 17 scores so far this season, Pennington’s offense has now outscored opponents 45-3 in just eight games.

Hunterdon Central 1 Shawnee 0 | Girls

The Red Devils prevailed as the winners in this rare North Jersey vs. South Jersey battle. South Carolina commit Reagan Schubach broke free and scored the game’s lone goal in the 43rd minute to lead Hunterdon Central (5-3) to the win. Shawnee (7-1) suffered their first loss of the season.
