Pingry 3 Hunterdon Central 2 (2OT) | Boys

Anthony Bugliari scored a golden goal in double overtime for the second straight game to give the #1 ranked team in New Jersey another dramatic win. Evan Vasquez scored both goals for Hunterdon Central including a penalty kick in the 77th minute to give the Red Devils a 2-1 lead. But Pingry got the equalizer on a PK of their own with Daniel Yanaz scoring with just 1:14 left to force overtime. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from a thriller:


Rumson-Fair Haven 2 Holmdel 1 | Boys

Alec Pentikis and Luke Pentikis scored goals in the 48th and 49th minutes to give RFH its first win over Holmdel in six years. The Hornets had just two outright losses in the last four years heading into the match. Brendan Worobel scored Holmdel’s lone goal in the 66th minute but RFH was able to hang on to get a huge Shore Conference divisional win. Notre Dame 1 Allentown 1 | Girls

Over 100 minutes of play and there was no winner between Colonial Valley Conference friendly foes Notre Dame (2-0-1) and Allentown (1-1-1). After a scoreless first half, Martha Olorunnisola gave Allentown a 1-0 lead in 66th minute. The Irish having offensive trouble all match long finally got a break with three minutes remaining as Ryan Carr scored to send the game to overtime. The game would eventually end in a 1-1 tie. Rutgers University commit Olivia Bodmer had 13 saves for ND.

Kingsway 3 GCIT 0 | Boys

The Dragons roared past the Cheetahs in the second half, scoring all three goals in the final 40 minutes. Sean Daly, Rich Bryan and Dean Martin all found the net for Kingsway (3-0).
