Chris Levonas was sensational in his 2024 debut throwing five shutout innings allowing just one infield single, a walk and striking out eight and the Colts busted open the game with a seven run sixth inning to win on a week-delayed Opening Day. Levonas touched 96 miles per hour on the radar gun in front of about 15 MLB scouts. Six different Colts had hits and RBI’s in the win.

University of Virginia commit Bryce Meccage drew the attention of MLB scouts in his senior season pitching debut. Meccage struck out the side in the first inning and despite giving up a run following a walk in the second, finished with no hits allowed and eight strikeouts throughout three innings pitched. He also went 1-2 at the plate with an RBI, Tommy Craig would go 2-3 with 2 RBI’s for Pennington in their 8-5 win over MAPL rival Hill (PA).

The Chiefs shook off a tough loss in their opener and rallied late to knock off the Renegades in the latest chapter of this Olympic Conference rivalry. Henry Radbill was tremendous out of the bullpen, tossing four-plus innings of shutout baseball with seven strikeouts. Jordan Henriquez and Cameron Radimer homered in the victory for Cherokee (1-1). Chase Roberts, Kayden Maybury, and Matt Piccininni drove in runs in the loss for Shawnee (3-1).
