Jersey Sports Zone brings you a pair of big-time girls lacrosse matchups on Spring Break week. We’ve got Moorestown paying a visit to Oak Knoll and a Shore Conference showdown between RFH and Manasquan!


Oak Knoll 8 Moorestown 6 | Girls

No. 2 Oak Knoll improved to 6-1 following a close 8-6 victory over Moorestown in a rematch of last year’s Tournament of Champions Final. The Royals held onto a 4-3 lead at halftime, but Moorestown with two goals from Meg McNulty would jump in front 5-4 to begin the second. Oak Knoll responded with four straight goals to secure the win. Sophia Loschert and Caroline Sheridan both finished with two goals, Loschert also had an assist. Rumson-Fair Haven 9 Manasquan 8 | Girls

Elliott Van Nice’s fourth goal of the game with 1:42 remaining gave the Bulldogs a come from behind win at home. Ava Chiarella gave Manasquan an 8-7 lead before RFH answered with a Rachel James goal to tie things up. James drew a double team and fed Van Nice for the game winner. RFH improves to 7-2 setting the stage for a huge game on Thursday at Trinity Hall in a battle of defending state champions. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Rumson:
