Newark East Side 58 Seton Hall Prep 55 (OT) | Boys

American Division matchups in the SEC never seem to be lacking excitement, and this one lived up to that billing and more. Newark East Side had to battle for 36 minutes along with an overtime period to secure their first win over Seton Hall Prep since the 2019 season. David Olaniyi had a game-high 23 points and senior Neftali Koomson delivered 16 points and nine rebounds in the win. East Side improved to 3-2 on the year while The Prep drops to 2-1.

Trenton Catholic 60 Stuart Day 55 | Girls

In a rematch of last year’s Mercer County Tournament Final, Trenton Catholic (4-0) remained undefeated with a close 60-55 victory over Stuart Day (4-1). The Iron Mikes took the match up once again thanks to a great effort from their impressive sophomore class. Aalyah Del Rosario finished with 15 points and Angelica Velez had 16.

Clearview 76 Kingsway 67 | Boys

The Pioneers won the Route 322 rivalry game on the road in Tri-County Conference action. Anthony Charles paced View (4-1) with a team-high 22 points. Garrett Mease and Justin Decant added 17 points and 15 points respectively. Arthur Stone poured in a game-high 36 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the loss for the Dragons (3-2).

Manasquan 88 Manchester 73 | Girls

Once again proving to be a top team in the Shore, the Warriors gained a win and handed Manchester its first loss of the season. Manasquan made 16 three-pointers, with five coming from Allison Waters off the bench. Brooke Hollawell netted 17 points and Mary Donnelly added 21 for Squan. Destiny Adams of Manchester led all scorers with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
