The playoffs get underway for Group 4 and Group 2 teams on Tuesday night, and we have highlights from all over the state. 


Middle Twp. 53 Gloucester 46 | Boys | South Group 2 Opening Round

Bubba McNeil scored a game-high 19 points to help lead the seventh-seeded Panthers to victory. Jamir McNeil added 13 points for Middle (17-11), which will now host 15th-seeded Lindenwold in the sectional quarterfinals, after Camden forfeited. Liam Gorman scored a team-high 18 points for the tenth-seeded Lions (18-10) in the loss.

Middletown South 92 Manalapan 65 | Boys | Central Group 4 Opening Round

Pat Brown had 24 points and nine rebounds and Dylan Csik scored 14 of his 22 in the second quarter as the Eagles had their highest point total of the season to move on to the quarterfinals and a showdown with Shore Conference foe Jackson Memorial.  The Eagles raced out to a 49-30 lead at the half and continued the frenetic pace in the second half.

Rumson-Fair Haven 90 Roselle Park 54 | Boys | Central Group 4 Opening Round

Luke Schorr made seven three-pointers on the way to a 27-point night and the Bulldogs made a total of 18 shots from beyond the arc in an impressive shooting display.  RFH will face 4th seed Bound Brook in the CJ Group 2 quarterfinals

Westfield 61 Phillipsburg 29 | Girls | North 2 Group 4 Opening Round

(4) Westfield (19-6) advances to the North 2, Group 4 Quarterfinals with a 61-29 win over (13) Phillipsburg (14-10). Senior Annie Ryan eclipsed 1,000 career points late in the first quarter as Westfield led 38-10 at halftime. Ryan finished with 14 points while Catie Carayannopoulos had 12 points and 12 rebounds, Paige Gorczyca ended the night with 15 points.
