Long Branch 2 Freehold Township 1 (2OT) | Group 4 Central
Patrick O’Dwyer scored in the opening minute of the second overtime period to give the #13 seed an upset over the Shore Conference champions. Zach Orrico’s goal in the 58th minute gave the Patriots a 1-0 lead before Eryck Lazo drew even 11 minutes later. O’Dwyer scored his 21st goal of the season. West Windsor-Plainsboro South 2 Monroe 1 | Group 4 Central
The Boys Central Group 4 bracket will have some adjustments to make after a first round upset by 14th seed West Windsor-Plainsboro South over third seed Monroe. Early in the first half the Falcons would score on a penalty kick from Adrian Delascio to lead 1-0. As 15 minutes remained in regulation South would find net on back to back scores from Jude Ferri and Sueth Nandyala to give the Pirates their first playoff win in over 10 years. St. Joe’s (Mont.) 0 Union Catholic 0 | SJR Wins 5-4 in PK’s | Non-Public A North
St. Joe’s (Mont.) and Union Catholic were neck and neck after 80 minutes of regulation and two, ten-minute overtime periods, sending this one into PK’s with a nil-nil score. Tyler Toft made the only save in the PK round and Chris Salazar drilled home the game-winner to advance the Green Knights into the quarterfinal round with a 5-4 advantage.

Mainland 4 Timber Creek 0 | Group 3 South
The third-seeded Mustangs took care of business against the 14th-seeded Chargers to begin the South Jersey Group 3 bracket. Ryan Pellegrino and Cooper McKinney scored first half goals for Mainland. Nick Bozzi Joey Cino added goals in the second half. The ‘Stangs advance to face defending sectional champion Seneca in the quarterfinals.

Haddonfield 2 West Deptford 1 | Group 2 South
The sixth-seeded Bulldogs needed every ounce of fight to get by 11th-seeded Eagles in the first round of the Group 2 South playoffs. Junior Alessandro Meucci scored both goals for Haddonfield, including the game-winner with 45 seconds left in regulation. The Bulldogs advance to face third-seeded Manasquan on Friday.
