JSZ has highlights from three basketball games tonight to prepare you for the biggest showdown of the regular season tomorrow. Elizabeth 62 Patrick School 51

No. 9 in the current NJ Top 20, Elizabeth upset No. 8 The Patrick School to remain undefeated on the year at 16-0. It was the first time the Minutemen defeated TPS in 6 seasons. After trailing in the first two quarters Elizabeth fought back to take and hold a tight lead in the second act. Brenden Kelly finished with 14 points while Abdul Shanunu had 10. Marlboro 72 Long Branch 67 – Boys Basketball

Marlboro’s Dylan Kaufman dominated inside the paint and spoiled a special night for Marc Dennis as Kaufman dropped a career-best 32 points in a home win over the Green Wave.

Dennis scored his 1,000th career on a long jumper early in the third quarter and ultimately finished with a career-high 36 points on the night. It was a back and forth battle between two of the Shore Conference’s best at their respective positions. JSZ’s Jay Cook has all the highlights from Marlboro:

Southern Regional 44 Central Regional 36 – Girls Basketball

The Southern Regional Rams traveled to Bayville to take on the Central Regional Golden Eagles for a Tuesday night Division match-up. Jacqueline Ward scored the game-high 19 points for the Rams, leading them to their third win in a row. Southern improved their overall record to 10-7 for the season.
