Point Pleasant Boro 20 Manasquan 6| Shore Conference
Jake Clayton ran for 119 yards and two second half touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a second straight impressive win to start the season. DJ Albanese cashed in from 2-yards out for the Panthers before Dax Klein’s 1-yard run made it a 7-6 game at the half. Clayton’s 7-yard TD run in the third featured him carrying multiple defenders into the end zone followed by a 1-yard run to close out the scoring.

Holmdel 48 Red Bank Regional 7 | Shore Conference
Sophomore QB Tommy Fletcher threw for 144 yards and two touchdown passes and Anthony Serini had a 16-yard TD run and an 88-yard interception for a TD to lead a dominant effort. Fletcher connected with Ryan Pescatore and Charles Murphy on a 60-yard bomb to get the Hornets out to a 21-0 first quarter lead. Holmdel took a 41-0 lead at the half and cruised to 2-0 on the season.

Haddonfield 34 Seneca 0 | West Jersey Football League
The reigning SJ Group 2 champs looked the part on Thursday night with a dominant effort at home against the Golden Eagles. James Farrell powered the offense with a pair of passing touchdowns, while rushing for two more on the ground in the victory. Lino Tete had a 75-yard rushing touchdown, while Dan and Mike Keenan hauled in touchdowns for Haddonfield (2-0). Seneca falls to 0-2, and will face Mainland next week.

Hopewell Valley 21 Trenton 12 | West Jersey Football League
The Bulldogs took the lead after picking off Trenton (0-2) on the first drive of the game, then found the end zone on their first offensive possession and never surrendered the advantage. John Rowe tossed a pair of touchdowns, while Ethan Valenza rushed for his fourth touchdown of the season. The Hopewell Valley (2-0) defense has forced seven turnovers through the first two games, as the Bulldogs extended the program’s road winning streak to 11 games.

Rutherford 28 Lyndhurst 7 | NJIC
Will Holman caught two touchdown passes in the second quarter and John Gioia added two second half TD runs to lead Rutherford to 28 straight points and a 2-0 mark on the season.
