It’s starting to feel like fall out there, as JSZ has three Thursday night games to help kick off Week 4 in the Garden State!

Matawan 28 Pinelands 27 (OT) | Shore Conference

Jordan Reamer forced a fumble at the goal line on Pinelands QB Ryan Allen on a two-point conversion to give the Huskies a wild one-point win.  Matawan raced out to a 21-0 lead through three quarters before the Wildcats stormed back.  Jaimin Parkinson had two TD runs and Allen threw a 12-yard TD pass to Steven Borden to tie the game at 21 with :48 left.  Pinelands missed the two-point conversion to take the lead.  Matawan QB Am’ir Martinez had two touchdown runs and two TD passes.  His 12-yard running score gave Matawan a 28-21 lead in overtime.  Liam Villinger threw a 25-yard TD pass to Mike Frawley setting the scene for the dramatic final play.  JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights and post-game reaction from a wildly entertaining game:

Watchung Hills 38 Bridgewater-Raritan 14 | Big Central Conference

To ensure victory, all three units of the team must come together – and that’s what happened for the Warriors on Thursday night. Two key special teams plays from Riley McCann before halftime stole the game’s momentum and helped lift Watchung Hills (3-2) to the win. The Warriors ran nearly 39 times for 179 yards and had rushing scores from four different players. The defense held Bridgewater-Raritan (2-3) to three total yards in the second half.

JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights and reaction from Bridgewater:
