Chatham 5 Ocean City 4 | Group 3 Boys State Championship
Freshman JP Lagunowich’s second goal of the game with :44 seconds left gave Chatham the Group 3 state championship. Ocean City, playing in its first state final, had Chatham on the ropes with a 3-1 halftime lead thanks to Brady Rauner’s hat trick. Ted Manitta had two goals and Jack Kuppenheimer scored nine seconds into the 4th quarter to give Chatham its first lead of the game. Ryan Boyd had 11 saves in goal for the Cougars. Hunterdon Central 7 Southern Regional 2 | Group 4 Boys State Championship
Hunterdon Central (15-4) captured its first Group 4 State Title since 2008 with a 7-2 victory over Southern (16-5). A low scoring first half saw the Red Devils take a 2-0 lead at halftime. Dylan Johnson and Sean Creter both ended the evening with a pair of scores, but the story of the game was the Central defense headlined by Junior Dillon Baehr. Baehr had 10 saves in the Championship.

Rumson-Fair Haven 18 Allentown 6 | Group 2 South Girls Championship
Chase Boyle had 7 goals and 2 assists in her final home game as RFH raced out to an 8-0 lead on the way to the South Jersey Group 2 championship. Boyle (7 goals), Mia James (5 goals) and Ava Poupard (4 goals) combined for 16 goals in the win. The RFH senior trio now has 194 goals this season. Rumson will take on Summit this Saturday at Middletown South for the Group 2 state championship. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from RFH:
