Plenty of hardware was on the line on Thursday in high school baseball. Brick Memorial and Toms River South go to battle for the Ocean County Tournament championship. Plus, Immaculata tries to clinch a third-straight division title as they take on Watchung Hills. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!
Brick Memorial 15 Toms River South 1 | Ocean County Tournament Final
It was a pitcher’s duel for four innings, then the Mustang bats came to life as they plated 15 runs over the final three innings to secure their first county championship since 1996. West Chester commit Brody Moore tossed a complete game four hitter with eleven strikeouts, and added drove in a run at the dish to earn Tournament MVP honors. Fairleigh Dickinson commit Dan Golembiewski finished with a grand slam and seven RBIs for Brick Memorial (12-6). Evan Schmidt drove in the lone run of the day for Toms River South (13-5), which reached the county final for the first time since 2016.

Immaculata 6 Watchung Hills 0
Ryan Auten piched six shutout innings allowing just three hits and striking out 12, lowering his ERA to 0.77 for the season and younger brother Bryson Auten had two hits, two RBI’s and closed out the 7th with two strikeouts of his own to give Immaculata the Skyland Conference Delaware Divisoin title. The 6-foot-5 lefty committed to Wake Forest now has pitched 19 consecutive shutout innings and a striekout to walk ratio of 72-10.
