Kittatinny 36 High Point 30

This Thursday night showdown in Sussex County had it all: a stingy rivalry, two talented teams and history on the line.

Kittatinny head coach John Gill became the fifth head coach in New Jersey history to reach 600 career wins, doing so on the heels of a thrilling, upset victory of his Cougars over High Point – the reigning Group 2 champions.

Kittatinny secured bonus points in six of their eights wins on the night with Patrick Franco, Connor Hanna and Jackson Crawn all winning by pin. Freshman Liliana Zacu-Ramos secured the match with a 4-1 win at 106 pounds.

CBA 33 Howell 23

The Colts won their final two matches to end the Rebels’ streak of 34 straight wins in Shore Conference “A” North duals, a streak that lasted five years. Leading 24-23 with two matches to go, CBA’s Vin Principe broke a 3-3 tie in the third period to score a 6-3 win at 120 pounds and Garrett Toten ended the match with a first period pin to give the Colts the landmark win. Delbarton 56 Pope John 13

New Jersey’s #1 Ranked team is off to a hot start and dominated in victory once again. The Green Wave won the last seven matches in a row and earned bonus points in 5 of them. Delbarton had four pins on the night from Thomas Fischer, Nicholas Nardone, Joseph Davi and Simon Ruiz and PJ Casale won by tech. Nick Iodato won by Major for Pope John.
