Justin Rosato and Brendan Sliva each had a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Eagles to another win against their crosstown rival on Thanksgiving. Middletown South has dominated the series matchup but came into the 2024 Thanksgiving game as a rare underdog after the Lions went 8-0 before losing in the second round of the state playoffs. Middletown South (4-7) ran out to a 19-0 lead highlighted by an 83-yard pick six by Mike Mueller. The Lions (8-2) stormed back and got within 25-22 after Dan Sigler’s second long touchdown catch of the day but the Eagles put the game away with Sliva’s second TD run.
