Clifton 17 Paterson Eastside 14

A late comeback attempt in the final minute by Paterson Eastside (4-3) was thwarted by Clifton (6-1) in the final seconds of regulation. The Ghosts drove 53 yards on the last drive of the game and the Mustangs turned them away on 4th and goal from the half-yard line with 16 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Clifton RB Jacob Maldonado helped pace the offense with a pair of rushing scores and the defense also teamed up to combine for five sacks.

St. Thomas 41 Middlesex 0

St. Thomas Aquinas (6-0) remains undefeated following a 41-0 victory over Middlesex (3-4). Quarterback Jayden connected with Villanova commit Jon Wyatt for a 34 yard touchdown on the game’s opening drive for St. Thomas, Sherrod Hudson added two rushing scores to give the Trojans a 28-0 lead at halftime. Hudson ended the game with 51 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Jon Wyatt had two receiving scores, Jayden Young finished with 93 passing yards, two throwing touchdowns and ran in another. St. Thomas has yet to give up a point on defense this season.
