Roselle Catholic 101 St. Joe-Metuchen 75 | Boys
Sophomore Simeon Wilcher delivered a triple double with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists including a dunk that pushed the Lions (2-0) over the century mark. Corey Floyd, Jr. led all scorers with 30 points and JeMarques Lawrence added 20 on six three-pointers. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Metuchen:
Elizabeth 54 Linden 42 | Boys
Elizabeth (1-0) picked up its first win of the season with a 54-42 victory over Union County rival Linden (1-1). The Minutemen trailed in the first half before going ahead on a Etienne Richelieu buzzer-beating three-pointer to end the third quarter. Elizabeth would eventually increase its lead to ten in the fourth. Al-Fatir Connor finished with nine points while Etienne Richelieu had 11.

Sterling 62 West Deptford 27 | Boys
Antoine Arnett reached 1,000 career points, as the Silver Knights overwhelmed the Eagles in Colonial Conference action. Arnette finished with a game-high 15 points. Andrew Tummings added ten points in the victory, as Sterling improved to (2-0).
