We close out opening weekend with a pair of games from the Battle at the Beach in Ocean City!
Timber Creek 34 Highland 6 | Battle at the Beach
The Chargers controlled both sides of the football as they rolled past the Tartans to pick up a rivalry win to open the season. Creek’s one-two punch of Chase Conway and Amir Reason-Dallas combined for three rushing touchdowns on the night. Reilly Hoffacker added a pair of rushing touchdowns of his own for Timber Creek (1-0). Connor Leary connected with Elijah Thompson for a touchdown in the loss for Highland (0-1).

Cedar Creek 42 Matawan 0 | Battle at the Beach
The Pirates exploded for 29 points in the third quarter to hammer the Huskies. Billy Smith threw four touchdown passes in the win; three to Darius Benjamin and one to Alim Parks. CJ McAfee returned a kickoff for a TD, while Gyan King had two interceptions to lead the Creek defense in the shutout.
