The Girls Basketball season wraps up with three exciting championship matchups from RWJ Barnabas Health Arena. Check back in as we continue to post all the action!

Morris Catholic 69 Rutgers Prep 63 | Girls | Non-Public “B” State Final

Morris Catholic claimed their first Non-Public Title since 2006 with a 71-63 comeback win over defending champions Rutgers Prep in one of the premiere Girls Basketball games of the season. The Crusaders trailed Rutgers Prep 32-26 at halftime as junior stand out Mikayla Blakes dominated throughout the first two quarters. However, a burst of offense from sophomore Mia Pauldo gave Morris Catholic a 10 point lead in the third quarter that allowed them to control the pace heading all the way late into the fourth quarter. After tying the game at 63-63 with 1:05 remaining, Mikayla Blakes fouled out and the Crusaders would take advantage of free throw opportunities to put the contest away late. Mia Pauldo finished with 26 points, sister Mya had 17.
