Sidwell Friends (DC) 73 St. John Vianney 58 | Girls

The Lady Lancers hung with the nation’s #1 team from start to finish, but fell short in Wilmington, Delaware. Princeton commit Madison St. Rose poured in a game-high 28 points for SJV (24-1), while Zoe Brooks added 17 points in the loss. Jadyn Donovan scored 21 points for the Quakers in the win, while UCLA commit Kiki Rice added 15 points.

Cherokee 26 Shawnee 24 | Girls | SJIBT Final

The Chiefs went down to the wire with the Renegades to win their record-fourth SJIBT championship in a classic battle between Olympic Conference rivals. Tournament MVP Katie Fricker scored a game-high 14 points, including the go-ahead basket with 4.1 seconds remaining in regulation for Cherokee (20-2). Nia Scott finished with a team-high seven points in the loss for Shawnee (21-3). Cherokee head coach Ron Powell reached the 600-win milestone with the victory.
