Rahway 43 Westfield 42 | Kowal Tournament Final

Amari Thompson knocked down a three-pointer late in the game to help the host school Indians rally from seven points down in the final three minutes to win the Butch Kowal Tournament. Thompson’s triple gave Rahway a 41-40 lead. After Westfield took the lead in the final minute, Ernest Carter sank two free throws and Rahway came up with a stop to earn the tournament title. Jordan Bell led the Indians with 12 points. JSZ’s Kenneth Bradley has the highlights:

Delran 50 Collingswood 40 | Collingswood Holiday Tournament Final

Tommy Murphy scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Bears to the Collingswood Holiday Tournament title. Glen Morrison added 12 points, while Ahmed Johnson scored 10 in the victory. Mekhi Bassett led the Panthers with 16 points in the loss.

Trenton Catholic 64 Franklin 42 – Girls Basketball

In one of the year’s must-see girls basketball games, Trenton Catholic defeated reigning back-to-back Tournament of Champions winner Franklin 64-42. The Lady Mikes, led by University of Central Florida commit Maniya Custis and West Virginia University bound Giana Hernandez-Boulden, ended the first quarter with a 15-13 lead before going up by as many as 20. Custis had 10 points while Hernandez-Boulden finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
