Lenape 31 Cherokee 28 (OT) | WJFL Pod A Semifinal

It was a battle between two undefeated rivals, both considered to be among the top teams in the state. In the end, it was a game that lived up to the hype. The Indians outlasted the Chiefs in an overtime thriller to advance to the unofficial South Jersey championship game. Dylan Shank’s 48-yard field goal in overtime proved to be the difference. Brady Long threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score for Lenape in the win. Brandon Boria rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns for Cherokee in the loss.

Northern Highlands 24 Wayne Hills 14

After two weeks of not seeing the field, the Patriots of Wayne Hills traveled to Allendale and put their undefeated record on the line. Despite having the lead going into he fourth quarter, Wayne Hills could not hold on. The Highlanders scored 17 points in the final 12 minutes of the game including an impressive 47 yard field goal by Andrew Haas that capped off the scoring for the day. Enzo Arjona had a rushing touchdown for the Highlanders. Noah Abida had two passing touchdowns for Wayne Hills in the loss.
