The first weekend of the New Year brings us some great games at marquee events all over the state. Check back throughout the night to catch all of the action from venues in South, Central and North Jersey!


Rutgers Prep 83 Toms River North 66 | Shore Classic Showcase

Rutgers Prep junior forward Trey Patterson notched 24 points and 11 rebounds while pacing the Argonauts to their seventh-straight win to open the season. Patterson has reached double-double figures in six-straight contests. Noah Harris chipped in with 19 total points while Toms River North’s Najae Hallenbeck netted a game-high 25.

Patrick School 53 St. Augustine 44 | Seagull Classic

Playing without Jonathan Kuminga, the Celtics found themselves in a battle down South against the Hermits. The Patrick School held a four-point lead, and held the ball for five minutes to start the fourth quarter before putting St. Augustine away late. Zarique Nutter scored a game-high 18 points, while Muhammed Sow came off the bench to score 12 points. Elmarko Jackson led the Hermits with 11 points in the loss.

Haddonfield 46 Ocean City 29 | Seagull Classic

Ben Cerrato scored a game-high 23 points as the Bulldogs rolled on the final day of the Seagull Classic. Haddonfield trailed early in the game, but a barrage of threes vaulted the Bulldogs ahead and they would never look back. Mike Rhodes scores a team-high ten points for the Red Raiders in the loss.

Irvington 70 Wall 66 | Shore Classic Showcase

Moses Pierre scored 22 points and led a 12-0 third-quarter lead that gave Irvington the lead for good and a 6-0 start to the season. Trailing 29-20 at the half, Irvington used a 27-9 third quarter to take the lead. Nazamier Brooks and Karriem Thomas each scored 17 for the Blue Knights. Wall had a chance to force overtime after a late technical foul on the Irvington bench, but the Crimson Knights fell short in a game-tying three-point attempt.
