Bergen Catholic 28 Delbarton 19

Bergen Catholic’s starters hadn’t played a full four quarters in their first two games, but went the distance in their return to playing NJ competition. The Crusaders (3-0) leaned on a four-touchdown performance from Ryan Butler and a two-interception game from Jaeden Gould to stave off the hungry Delbarton Green Wave (2-1).

Long Branch 29 Freehold Borough 14

Long Branch (2-0) defeated Freehold Borough (2-1) 29-14 in a thrilling Shore Conference comeback victory. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime thanks to a rushing and passing score from Green Wave quarterback Christian Rodriguez. Rodriguez would find Jayden Farmer for a 26 yard touchdown and run in another score in the fourth quarter. He finished with 245 total yards of offense, 4 touchdowns (two rushing, two passing) and a defensive interception.

Audubon 35 Haddon Heights 25

The Green Wave surged ahead with three touchdowns in the second quarter, and then held off the Garnets to stay undefeated. Scott Lynch threw a pair of touchdown passes in the win. Sean Driscoll had a TD catch, Derrick Bryant rushed for a score, and Billy Lindemuth returned an interception for a score for Audubon (3-0). Jackson Ferrante rushed for a pair of TDs, while Ryan DiOrio threw for a score and ran for a score for Haddon Heights (2-1) in the loss.

Woodrow Wilson 44 Haddonfield 21

The Tigers had its offense rolling on all cylinders, knocking off the Bulldogs in a shootout on Saturday. Senior QB Devin Kargman turned in a tremendous performance under center, scoring six total touchdowns (five passing, one rushing) in the win. Senior WR Amari Clark hauled in a pair of touchdowns in his return to the lineup for Woodrow Wilson (2-1). Sophomore Dominic Hahn scored a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Haddonfield (2-1).
