Brick Memorial 40 Rumson-Fair Haven 37

The Mustangs scored pinfalls in seven of their first eight bouts to build a 40-6 lead and held on in the last match to avoid a pin at 220 to secure a dual victory on the road. This match featured seven state medalists from last year and all seven are primed to be in the hunt for a spot in Phillipsburg in April. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Rumson:


Kingsway 59 Williamstown 9

The Dragons have an absolutely loaded lineup in 2021, and they roared past the Braves in Tri-County Conference action. Dakota Morris and Joey Miranda earned pins for Kingsway (3-0), while Finn McFadden and Cooper Pontelandolfo each won via technical fall. Joe Racobaldo pinned for Williamstown (1-2) in the loss.

St Peter’s Prep 37 West Essex 18

The Marauders got their revenge against last years NJ Group 3 Champions West Essex despite not having a full lineup. Prep strung together five wins in a row from 120 – 145 to stretch the lead against the Knights. Martin Martinetti, Donovan Chavis, Sean Reindero all earned pins for St Peters as they earn a win in their first match of the season.
