Livingston 2 Gov. Livingston 1
Zach Silva scored the go-ahead and eventual game winning goal with 4:02 left in the third period as the Lancers upended the reigning Public C state champions in a big early season showdown. Gov. Livingston (1-1) took an early lead thanks to senior Brian Kramer, but Livingston (2-0) rallied with a goal in each of the final two periods.

West Orange 8 East Side 0
West Orange picked up its first win of the season with a dominating 8-0 performance over Newark East Side. The Mountaineers led 5-0 entering the third period following two goals from both Andrew Raymon and Jack Olsen, Olsen also had an assist.
