Cedar Creek 27 Somerville 0 | Group 3 South Semifinal

The Pirates dominated to stay undefeated and earn a spot in a sectional championship game. Ja’Quan Howard rushed for over 200 yards and two touchdowns in the victory for Creek (11-0). JC Landicini threw TD passes to JoJo Bermudez and Elijah Smalls. On defense, Smalls helped lead the way with an interception. CJ Resto forced a fumble and had a sack, while Kevin Dougherty delivered a sack as well. The Pirates will host Delsea in the SJG3 final next Saturday. The Pioneers finish the season with a mark of (8-3).

Paulsboro 20 Gloucester 14 | Group 1 Central Semifinal

The Red Raiders ended the Lions’ perfect season and punched their ticket to the sectional finals. Ameer “Manny” Bateman carried the load for Paulsboro (9-1), rushing for 218 yards and a touchdown in the win. Devin Horton and Rocco Pellegrini each added a touchdown for the Red Raiders. Steve Burkhardt rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Gloucester (8-1). Paulsboro will host second-seeded Salem in the Central Group 1 title game next week.

Holy Spirit 28 Hudson Catholic 0 | Non Public Group B Quarterfinal

Rutgers commit Taj White and Hudson Catholic were no match for the Spartans of Holy Spirit. The Spartans scored first on a strip sack scoop-and-score from Michael Francisco and continued to pour on the points. Gavin Roman had a receiving touchdown and rushing touchdown while Eric Roman had an interception return for a score. Trevor Cohen netted 191 rush yards in the win for Holy Spirit.
