We close out Week 6 with four great games from around the Garden State!


Woodbury 28 Woodstown 6

In a rematch of last season’s Group 1 South final, the Thundering Herd again got the best of the Wolverines. Bryan Johnson threw a pair of touchdown passes to Jabron Solomon in the win for Woodbury (6-1), while Anthony Reagan rushed for a pair of scores. James Hill rushed for a TD as Woodstown (5-1) lost for the first time this season.

Colts Neck 21 Howell 13

Chris Scully had 112 yards rushing and two touchdowns and Matt Celli added a 26-yard interception return for a TD to give the Cougars a fifth straight win and at least a share of the Shore Conference’s Constitution Division.  Scully scored a 28-yard TD run on the opening drive of the game and added a 3-yard score in the final minute of the first half.  Scully reached the 1,000-yard mark in just his sixth game of the season.  The Colts Neck defense produced three total turnovers and came up with a number of key stops on fourth down.

Hun 48 Blair Academy 7

Hun (5-0) defeated Mid-Atlantic Prep League rival Blair (1-4) 48-7 as University of Iowa commit Marco Lainez III tossed four touchdowns and rushed in a score to give the Raiders a 41-0 lead at halftime. Lainez III finished with six total touchdowns and has now passed for well over 1,000 yards through five games.

Washington Twp. 35 Winslow Twp. 14

The Minutemen used a potent rushing attack to march past the Eagles and pick up their third-straight win. Giuliano Scavetta scored three total touchdowns to lead the way for Washington Twp. (4-3), including a 32-yard catch and run to open the third quarter. Jimmy Wilson rushed for a touchdown, and connected with Cam Miller for a 22-yard touchdown in the loss for Winslow Twp. (2-3).
