Lenape 12 Cherokee 7

The Indians reeled off their fourth straight win, taking down the rival Chiefs on the road. Zyaire Goffney-Fleming rushed for 194 yards and a touchdown to lead the way for Lenape (4-2). Michael Lemay returned a punt for a TD, while Tre Allen had a key interception in the win. Luke Brown rushed for score for Cherokee (3-3) in the loss.

Camden 7 Haddonfield 3

The Panthers pull through for a hard-fought victory in a defensive battle with the previously-unbeaten Bulldogs. Taquan Brittingham’s 70-yard fake punt late in the fourth quarter sealed the deal for The High’s fifth-straight win. Hamin Anderson scored the lone touchdown in the win for Camden (5-1). Blaise Coley connected on a 32-yard field goal in the loss for Haddonfield (4-1).

Middletown South 27 Rumson-Fair Haven 21

Donovan Summey ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns and Colin Gallagher added a pair of TD runs highlighted by a 59-yard score in the third quarter as the Eagles held off a fourth-quarter RFH rally to reach the 4-1 mark.  Middletown South produced three turnovers on defense highlighted by two Jake Czwakiel interceptions and scored a pair of TD’s in the third to build a 27-7 lead.  Rumson-Fair Haven rallied in the fourth with TD catches from Nick Thomas and Nick Rigby but could not recover an onside kick in the final minute.

West Morris 9 West Essex 7

Unbeaten West Morris got through their first true challenge of the season Friday night and showed that they can grind out wins when needed. West Essex (3-3) did a great job of bottling up all-state rusher Stefano Montella but the Wolfpack still were able to get in field goal range late in the 4th quarter. Freshman Johnny Vieira knocked in a 24-yard, go-ahead field goal to give West Morris (7-0) the lead late.
