Wall 14 Mater Dei Prep 7

Casey Larkin’s 2-yard TD run with 1:06 left in the 4th quarter followed by a 2-point conversion ended Mater Dei Prep’s 21 game win streak in Shore Conference play. The Wall defense produced three turnovers and held Malik Ingram to 70 yards on the ground. Matt DeSarno’s 37-yard TD run gave Wall a 6-0 lead after one while Ingram responded with a 2-yard score to make it 7-6 Mater Dei Prep at the half. The game-winning drive was highlighted by a Logan Peters pass that deflected off the hand of Larkin and into the arms of Gus Setteducato who’s 29-yard catch at the 2-yard line set up the game-winner. Brick Township 34 Freehold Boro 27

Anthony Prato’s 1-yard TD run with 12 seconds remaining gave Brick Township a wild win on Saturday afternoon in Freehold. Prato ran the two-minute offense to perfection completing four passes to Val Grigorian on the game-winning drive. Grigorian had a 61 yard TD catch in the fourth quarter. Freehold Boro got a TD run from QB Sha’Kim Shuler along with three TD passes. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Freehold:

Woodrow Wilson 53 Seneca 34

The Tigers bounced back from a tough loss against Cedar Creek by hanging 53 points on the Golden Eagles. Temple commit Muheem McCargo was unstoppable, scoring three touchdowns on the ground and catching a screen pass for a TD. Northern Illinois commit Malik Harvey caught a pair of touchdown passes and returned a kickoff for a score. Wilson quarterback Devin Kargman threw four TD passes in the win. Seneca’s Malin Jasinski threw three touchdown passes and ran for two scores in the loss.

Seton Hall Prep 31 East Orange 12

Seton Hall Prep continues to raise eyebrows in North Jersey. The combination of QB Zander Zebrowski, RB Matt Colantuono and WR Nick Gullace proved to be far too much for East Orange as each player accounted for at least two touchdowns. The Prep jumped out to a 21-6 lead at the half and went into cruise control in the fourth quarter.

Vineland 20 Trenton 12

It was a long bus trip, but Vineland, coming off back-to-back losses, finally got back in the win column after defeating Trenton 20-12. The Fighting Clan surged ahead early thanks to a pair of touchdowns from Virginia Tech commit Tyreem Powell. Late in the fourth quarter, as the Tornadoes tried to stage a comeback, Vineland was able to secure the victory on a fumble recovery. Powell had a rushing and passing score to accompany 205 total yards. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Camden 40 Pemberton 0

The Panthers (4-1) got back on track after a loss to Delsea with a lopsided victory over the Hornets. Sophomore running back Nasir Dale had a huge day with 233 yards rushing and two touchdowns to lead the way for Camden. Junior wide receiver Alijah Clark chipped in with two rushing touchdowns of his own while running the wildcat offense for the Panthers. Pemberton (2-3) made a game of it early, but couldn’t overcome the combination of Dale and Clark in the second half.

Hun 50 Blair Academy 12

Logan Clouse fired six touchdown passes to lead the Raiders to a statement win in a matchup of two top NJ Prep programs. JSZ has the highlights of the Saturday night showdown:
