St. Peter’s Prep 33 St. Joe’s (Mont.) 20

St. Peter’s Prep snapped a three-game losing streak to the Green Knights dating back to 2018 after a rousing performance on offense and defense. Paul Lefkowitz and Sammy Slade powered a 254-yard rushing outburst to control the game. Kenny Soares’ 61-yard touchdown was the highlight of the day.

Wayne Valley 28 Northern Highlands 23

In a rematch of last year’s North Group 4 Bowl Championship, Wayne Valley defeated Northern Highlands once again, this time 28-23. The Indians, trailing by a field goal at halftime, opened the third quarter with a score and set the tone for the second act. In the fourth quarter, while trailing by five with under a minute to go, Highlands was unable to secure a fumble that would seal the game. Wayne Valley quarterback D.J. Pokaj finished 10-17 with 230 yards and three passing touchdowns. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights: 


Red Bank Catholic 21 Rumson-Fair Haven 14

Najih Rahman’s 35-yard pick-six proved to be the game-winning touchdown as the Caseys defense produced five turnovers to pull off the upset over a top 10 state-ranked RFH squad. Joe Diorio and Lenny Loria added interceptions for the Caseys who took a 21-7 lead on Rahman’s second-quarter score. John Volker scored on his first carry from 56 yards out making it the third straight game he scored a long touchdown on his first touch. Wall 22 Jackson Memorial 0

A matchup of two top five teams in the Shore Conference and the rubber match between the Knights and the Jaguars went in favor of Wall. A controlling 22-0 win paced Army commit Casey Larkin as he had two touchdown runs for the Knights. JSZ’s Kenneth Bradley has the highlights from Jackson:


Mater Dei Prep 10 Middletown South 3

Jaijon Cross’ 4-yard TD run in the first quarter was the only touchdown of the game as Mater Dei Prep’s defense was able to keep the Eagles out of the end zone and produced two turnovers to get to 2-1 on the season. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the Shore Conference highlights from Middletown:


Holmdel 35 Red Bank Regional 7

Jaden Gallo had four touchdown runs highlighted by two long romps of 56 and 55 yards to lead the Hornets to a 3-0 start to the 2020 season. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the Shore Conference highlights:

St. Joseph (Hamm.) 56 Millville 6

The Wildcats raced out to an early lead at Wheaton Field and never looked back. Army commit Ahmad Ross rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns to lead the St. Joseph Academy offense. Jayden Shertel added 99 yards on the ground and a score. LeQuint Allen scored the only TD of the day for the Thunderbolts.

Ocean City 45 Cedar Creek 7

The Red Raiders trailed early, but rattled off 45 unanswered points in a dominant performance against the Pirates. Jake Inserra and Jake Schneider came through with impact plays on both sides off the ball for Ocean City. Inserra rushed for two touchdowns and added a pick-six. Schneider caught a touchdown, and added two interceptions, one for a touchdown. JoJo Bermudez got Cedar Creek on the board with an incredible 89-yard touchdown run to open the game.

West Side 55 Millburn 7

The Roughriders improve to 2-1 on the season with a dominant performance over the Millers. Westside got out to a hot start and lead 42-0 at halftime. Dashawn Lawton had three receiving touchdowns for the Roughriders. JSZ’s Kenneth Bradley has the highlights from Millburn:
