Wet weather threw a few wrinkles into the Week 3 schedule, but Friday night still brought us tons of highlights from all around the state. Check back throughout the night to watch all of the exciting action!


Delbarton 27 Don Bosco 21

Delbarton made history Friday night. The Green Wave scored only their second win over Don Bosco in program history as they improved their record to 3-0 this season. Delbarton led 24-0 at the half behind three Cole Freeman touchdowns, but the Ironmen surged late.

Ridge 37 Union 21

After a crushing 42-19 defeat to Cranford in Week Two, Ridge bounced back with a dominating 37-21 victory over last year’s North Group 5 Bowl Championship runner-up, Union. Quarterback Mike Olivo set the tone early with a dazzling 32 yard touchdown to open the first quarter. Olivo finished with five total scores (four rushing, one passing).

St. Augustine 20 Hammonton 7

Pete Lancetta coached at Hammonton for 26 years. On Friday night, the Hermits head coach faced his former team for the first time, and the Prep picked up its first victory of the season. Trey McLeer threw two touchdown passes to Nasir Hill to lead the way on offense. Kanye Udoh rushed for a score, while Kenny Selby led the Hermits defense with three interceptions. AJ Ryker had a touchdown catch for the Blue Devils in the loss.

Middletown North 6 Long Branch 0

Quentin Soler’s 40 yard TD catch from Tom Giannone midway through the first quarter was the only score of the game as the Lions defense and special teams units produced four turnovers to pick up their first win of the season. Soler sealed the victory with an interception in the final minute.

Camden 40 Shawnee 21

The High’s potent offense scored early and often as the Panthers win in convincing fashion against Shawnee. Jalin Brownlee had a big night through the air, passing for 433 yards and five touchdowns. Rutgers-commit Alijah Clark made an impact on both sides of the ball, scoring two receiving touchdowns and forcing a fumble.

Woodbridge 41 Scotch Plains-Fanwood 19

Offense, defense and special teams, you name it, the Barrons scored in every phase of the game. A controlling win over the Raiders keeps Woodbridge undefeated. Ali Lee Jr. put on a dominant performance for the Barrons as he scored two rushing and one kick return touchdown. Treyshon Fudge also had two touchdowns for Woodbridge while Shawn Martin had a pair of offensive touchdowns for the Raiders.

Robbinsville 15 Camden Catholic 0

Shane Martin and Tien-Amir Siplin scored third quarter touchdowns to break a scoreless tie and give the Ravens their 12th straight regular season victory. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Mercer County:
