East Orange 21 Pope John 13
Damon Phillips ran for 110 yards and the East Orange defense locked down in the second half to get to 6-0 on the season. JSZ’s Darron Wallace has the highlights and post-game reaction from Sparta:
Woodbury 24 Glassboro 12
The Thundering Herd fell behind 12-0 early, but battled back to beat the Bulldogs and stay undefeated. Wilson Torres scored a pair of touchdowns on the ground for Woodbury (7-0), while Bryan Johnson threw a TD pass to JaBron Solomon. Jhaisir Harden threw a TD pass, rushed for a score, and had two interceptions for Glassboro (3-3) in the loss.
