Rutgers Prep 68 Montclair Immaculate 65 | Boys

Rutgers Prep has officially entered the “elite” category among New Jersey high school basketball programs. The Argonauts, ranked as high as No. 23 in the country by MaxPreps, secured a signature win Saturday afternoon against Montclair Immaculate. Star junior Trey Patterson, who has established himself as one of the most complete underclassmen in the northeast, provided a 29-point, eight-rebound performance. Sophomore Otega Oweh helped keep the game out of reach after a game-saving block and a thunderous dunk in the final seconds.

Wildwood Catholic 79 Burlington Twp. 46 | Boys

Wildwood Catholic picked up its ninth straight victory to improve to (13-2) on the year. The Crusaders defeated Burlington Township 79-46 following a 23 point, 13 rebound game from West Virginia University commit Taj Thweatt. Timber Creek 86 Lindenwold 64 | Boys

Chargers senior Justin Bladen erupted for seven three-pointers in the first half, en route to a game-high 28 points in the victory. Demetrius Paynter added 18 points to go along with 17 rebounds, as Creek continues to roll at (14-1). Tazir Cantey dropped a team-high 25 points for the Lions in the loss.

Paul VI 73 Trenton Catholic 43 | Boys

The 2020 Jeff Coney Classic from Rancocas Valley Regional High School concluded with Paul VI’s (10-3) 73-43 win over Trenton Catholic (9-6). The Eagles were able to limit VCU commit Jamir Watkins early and stormed through the first half with a well-balanced offense that saw three players finish in double figures. Jalen Boyd-Savage had 17 points, Andrew Harrell had 18 and Wilser Sanon ended the night with 19 points. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Colts Neck 48 Middletown South 40 | Girls

Dartmouth commit Camryn Foltz scored the game’s first 11 points and scored 20 of her 30 points in the first half as the Cougars held off a fourth-quarter run from the Eagles to pick up their seventh win of the season. Colts Neck led by 20 at the half and by 17 at the end of three quarters. Kayla Richardson scored 16 points to lead the Eagles.
