Verona/Glen Rock 5 West Essex 2
Dominick Pandiscia delivered a hat trick and Rowan Brennan added three assists to give VGR a season opening win. The Hillbillies won the 2020 Kelly Cup and move up to the McInnis Division in 2021. Verona raced out to a 3-0 lead before West Essex scored twice in the second to get within a goal but John Lonslinger’s power play goal gave VGR a cushion and Pandiscia closed out the scoring with his third of the game. Hunterdon Central 3 Watchung Hills 0
Jack Schnack snacked on Watchung Hills in Hunterdon Central’s opener Saturday as he delivered two goals to power the Red Devils to a win. Jack Menchillo made 24 saves and sophomore Josef Polachek scored his first career goal in the victory.
