Roselle Catholic 45 Manasquan 43 | Boys | Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase

CJ Wilcher’s basket with 1.1 seconds left gave Roselle Catholic its first lead since 2-0 in the first quarter as the Lions avoided a spirited upset bid against the Warriors. Manasquan took a 30-25 lead at the end of three quarters after a Tim McEneney three-pointer. The Warriors had two chances to take the lead in the final minute. Ben Roy’s floater in the lane fell short and Corey Floyd Jr. was able to throw a long pass to Wilcher who came through. Freshman Simeon Wilcher had 11 points to lead the way for Roselle with Cliff Omoruyi providing 6 points, 8 rebounds and 8 blocked shots. Wildwood Catholic 60 CBA 39 | Boys | Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase

Taj Thweatt had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Crusaders to their 8th win of the season. Wildwood Catholic raced out to a 21-12 first-quarter lead and never looked back. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from the Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase:


Camden 65 Camden Catholic 25 | Boys

The High went on a 20-0 run in the first half to blow past the Irish in this Olympic Conference rivalry game. Freshman sensation D.J. Wagner led a balanced Panthers attack with 13 points. Kentucky commit Lance Ware added 10 points in the victory.

Shawnee 57 Cherry Hill East 48 | Boys

The Renegades gain some much needed momentum in 2020 with an upset victory over the Lions. Shawnee jumped out to a 10-1 lead and led wire-to-wire despite multiple comeback attempts by Cherry Hill West. Justin Lubin and Andrew Ball combined for 38 points in the win.

Monroe 52 Old Bridge 33 | Girls

Monroe starts the year (8-0) following a 52-33 victory over Greater Middlesex Conference rival Old Bridge. The Falcons trailed 14-13 after the first quarter, but thanks to great three point scoring performance from Nina Branchizio and Madison Carey, they pushed the lead to 20 in the second half. Branchizio had 14 points while Carey finished with 16 points. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
