Long Branch 6 Monmouth Regional 0 | Boys

The Green Wave opened their 2022 season with a bang. Anthony Vasquez paced Long Branch (1-0) with a pair of goals in a road tilt against the Falcons. Chris Lopez, Nicholas Davhi-Borges, Kayk Moreira and Wyatt Vicente also found the back of the net in the win, while Chris Lazo earned a clean sheet with three saves on the afternoon. Monmouth Regional (0-2) looks for their first win against Shore Regional later this week.

Rumson-Fair Haven 2 Middletown South 0 | Boys

Antonio Santos scored a pair of goals four minutes apart to give RFH a bounce-back win following a 5-0 defeat against Freehold Township.  Santos scored on a feed from 18-yards out in the 26th minute and converted a penalty kick four minutes later.  JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Borden Stadium:

Hun 7 Moorestown Friends 0 | Girls

Hun improved to 3-0 on the year following a 7-0 win over Moorestown Friends. The Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead at halftime following goals from Tessa Falcone, Julia Espinosa, Mackenzie Turner and Hannah Yanni. Falcone and Espinosa both finished with two scores. Hun has outscored opponents 20-0 in their first three games of the season.

Point Pleasant Boro 3 Central Regional 2 | Girls

The Panthers built a 3-0 lead before holding off a Golden Eagles comeback attempt down the stretch. Madison Bjorndahl led the way with two goals for Point Boro (2-0), while Kyleigh Cilento also scored. Cailey Bozinis and Hannah Lewis both scored for Central (0-1-1) in the loss.
