Old Bridge 8 Eastern 6 | Group 4 Semifinal

Old Bridge advances to their first ever Group 4 State Final following an 8-6 comeback victory over Eastern. The Knights fell behind 2-0 in the first inning, Adam Scire would tie the game for Old Bridge with a two RBI double in the bottom of the second, Justin Meyer would then put them ahead 3-2 on an RBI double a few at bat bats later. Trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth following a three run home run from Coastal Carolina commit Sam Winsett, Mike Villani hit a bases clearing three RBI double to tie the game for Old Bridge, a balk and passed ball in the sixth inning eventually gave the Knights a late 8-6 lead. Old Bridge will take on Ridgewood in the Championship on 6/10.

Rumson-Fair Haven 9 Seneca 0 | Group 2 Semifinal

Griffin Shenman blasted a grand slam to cap off a seven-run first inning and Jackson Hinchliffe and Cal Champeau combined on the shutout as RFH reaches the state championship on the diamond for the first time in school history.  The Bulldogs will take on Pascack Hills this Saturday morning at 10 am in the Group 2 state championship.
