Mount St. Dominic 12 Verona 2 (6 Innings)
Mount St. Dominic’s 20th game of the season ended in the ninth mercy-rule victory of the year. Now standing at an impressive 18-2, the Lions used a five-run fifth inning to push past Verona. Olivia Sasfai led the way at the plate, going 3-4 and knocking in three runs. Both Gianna Stern and Sydney Rosencranz notched two-RBI days while Alexa Raphael, Sophia Kiseloski and Grace Perez each batted one run in. These two will face off again Friday in the Essex County Tournament semifinals.

Westfield 8 Cranford 0
Westfield (15-0) remains undefeated following an 8-0 victory over Cranford (12-5). The Blue Devils opened things up in the second following a three RBI home run from Kalea Calugay, they would score eight runs in the inning. On the mound Michaela Hobson pitched seven innings, picked up 10 strikeouts, walked one batter and allowed two hits and no earned runs. Westfield enters the upcoming Union County Tournament as the top seed.
