In a clash of two undefeated state baseball powers it was Hun that remained perfect on the year with a 8-5 win over St. Augustine. The Raiders took an early 4-0 lead before St. Augustine got within one run in the third inning. As the back and forth battle continued Carson Applegate and Jack Erbeck went yard in the fifth and sixth inning to help Hun improve to 7-0 on the year. Pitcher Andy Blake finished with six strikeouts and 2 RBI’s. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Hillsborough 7 Hunterdon Central 4
Mike Swetz cranked two home runs while DH Vince Gambardella chipped in with a homer and a game-high 4 RBI’s as Hillsborough brought down their division rival. The win comes after the Red Devils swept the Raiders in two games last season. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from Hillsborough:
