Paul VI 53 Union Catholic 35 | Boys | Non-Public “A” South Final

The fifth-seeded Eagles stunned the defending champion Vikings to bring home their first sectional championship since 1988. Judah Hidalgo led a balanced attack from Paul VI (22-9) with a game-high 15 points. Torren Greene went for 14 points, while Isaiah Thomas added 13 points in the victory. Luke Schorr scored a team-high 11 points for second-seeded Union Catholic (22-7). Paul VI will face North champion Don Bosco Prep for the Non-Public “A” state championship on Friday at Rutgers University.

St. Rose 82 Bishop Eustace 40 | Boys | Non-Public “B” South Final

The Purple Roses were all business as they powered past the Crusaders to win a second-straight sectional championship. Villanova commit Matt Hodge poured in a game-high 26 points to the lead the way for St. Rose (28-2). Jayden Hodge added 12 points, while Evan Romano and Avery Lynch each added ten points in the victory. Braydon Killeen finished with a team-high 10 points for Bishop Eustace (13-17). St. Rose will face Montclair Immaculate for the Non-Public “B” state title on Friday at Rutgers University.
